NFL Teams Looking to Sign Randy Moss Should Exercise Caution Says Mike Reiss

NFL Teams Looking to Sign Randy Moss Should Exercise Caution Says Mike Reiss It seems like an easy decision. Pick up one of the greatest receivers in the game, and success will follow. The Minnesota Vikings are the classic example of how that formula just doesn't work.

During Monday's edition of NESN Daily, NESN Insiders Shalise Manza Young and Mike Reiss stopped in to discuss the waiver process that will follow now that Randy Moss is no longer with the Vikings. The team with the worst record will get first dibs, and he will work his way through the NFL until someone picks him up.

Reiss was quick to warn any team looking to pick up Moss. While it seems like a quick fix for a struggling offense, they have to remember they're picking up the whole package. Moss is an excellent receiver, but he's also a piece of work in the locker room if he doesn't meet eye to eye with the administration.

"You think about a team like the St. Louis Rams who could use a receiver," Reiss said. "But they also have Sam Bradford — a young quarterback. Do you want to expose Sam Bradford to a person like Randy Moss in that locker room who commands the ball and commands respect."
