Patriots Take Over No. 1 Spot in NFL Week 9 Power Rankings, Remain Only One-Loss Team in League There’s a new No. 1 team in the power rankings for the third consecutive week, but the Patriots have plenty of competition running up behind them. There are eight teams with two losses, and five of them reside in the AFC.

With two months in the books, things are definitely starting to take shape, but there are still a whole ton of unknowns. Have the teams in the top five or six really separated themselves from the rest of the pack? Are the Chiefs and Buccaneers actually legitimate? Can the Rams or Raiders (both of whom are 4-4) make a charge? And which middle-of-the-road team will really emerge in the second half?
