The Providence Bruins unleashed an offensive explosion on the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, and forward Jordan Smotherman was a major contributor to the P-Bruins' outburst.

Smotherman scored two goals –- his second and third of the season -– on Friday, and both came in the third period. The win was much-needed for a Providence squad that has won just three of its first 10 games thus far this season.

“It definitely felt good. All around it was a great team effort,” Smotherman said. “It was a fun game, and a good way to start off the new month.”
