Report: Ellis Hobbs Neck Injury May Force Him to Retire

Eagles cornerback Ellis Hobbs' career may come to an end long before it should have.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, there is a chance Hobbs' latest neck injury may force the 27-year-old into retirement.

A source told Schefter that there is a "good chance" that Hobbs will be forced to quit football. Schefter claims a source also told him that if Hobbs had to make a decision right now, he'd have to retire.

The former Patriot is out for the season after suffering a neck injury in a Week 11 game with the Giants. He missed the final nine games of last season with a neck injury as well.
