The pursuit for Cliff Lee is on in earnest.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman is on his way to Arkansas on Wednesday morning to meet with Lee, according to the New York Post.

The Yankees are considered front-runners to land Lee this offseason, if for no other reason than their seemingly infinite bankroll. They will have competition, though, as the Rangers, Phillies, Dodgers and others have been reported to be involved in acquiring the lefty.
