Rookie Goalie Michael Hutchinson Making Most of Time With Providence Bruins

The P-Bruins’ offense was the main storyline after their 6-1 victory rout of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, but rookie goalie Michael Hutchinson’s impressive effort shouldn’t be forgotten either.

Hutchinson has played extremely well as of late, allowing just one goal on 26 shots on Friday and notching a career-high 41 saves against Worcester last week.

“I was feeling really confident right from the drop of the puck,” Hutchinson said. “Scoring two goals right off the bat really quick really helped us out, and for myself I just made sure that I made the next couple of saves.”

Adam Kaufman spoke with Hutchinson about his time with Providence, learning from veteran goalie Nolan Schaefer, and more in the interview below.
