Troy Brown Fires Back at Terrell Suggs, Says Linebacker Has Been 'Overrated for a Long Time' The Patriots' locker room is a place where controversy does not exist. No matter what opposing players or coaches say or do in public, the Patriots rarely if ever respond through the media.

It's interesting, then, when former Pats — like Tedy Bruschi, Christian Fauria and Troy Brown — make the switch to the media business after they retire from the game, as it offers a glimpse into their competitive fire that drove them in their careers.

That was on display this week, when Brown responded harshly on CSNNE to Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs' claims that the Patriots' Super Bowls were "fake."

Brown, a member of all three of the Patriots' Super Bowl-winning squads, predictably disagreed.

"There's no way you can call a championships fake, for whatever reasons he wants to do that," Brown said on CSNNE. "This guy has got pent-up frustration, for whatever reason. … He's really frustrated because he has to go through New England or Pittsburgh or one of those teams that they have trouble beating to get to where he wants to be. And he's taking it out on the Patriots, for some reason."

Brown also sent some shots the way of Suggs, whose been a Raven since entering the league in 2003.

"He's been overrated for a long time," Brown said of Suggs. "He's benefitted from playing with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and all those guys."
