Which Free Agent Would You Most Like to See in a Red Sox Uniform in 2011? The hot stove is simmering for now, but in the matter of a few weeks, it could be boiling over with free-agent signings, trades and acquisitions.

Welcome to the offseason, baseball fans.

The Red Sox are expected to make some moves this fall and winter as the club failed to make the postseason for the first time since 2006. They also might be losing their starting third baseman and catcher and are relying on a handful of leaders to bounce back cleanly from serious injuries suffered in 2010.

A couple of free agents who are likely to gain the most attention this offseason are outfielder Carl Crawford and starting pitcher Cliff Lee. While some fans can argue that the Red Sox don’t necessarily need these players, either one would quickly make the club a preseason pick to do some serious damage in 2011.

Lee went 12-9 with a 3.18 ERA with the Mariners and Rangers this past season, while Crawford hit .307 with 19 homers, 90 RBIs and 47 steals in his ninth campaign in Tampa Bay.

Would you rather see Crawford or Lee in a Red Sox uniform in 2011?
