When the Bruins and Hurricanes get together, two things come to mind: Scott Walker sucker-punching Aaron Ward in the 2009 playoffs and arguably the most lovable professional sports team (past or present) in the nation, the Hartford Whalers.

In 1997, the Whale packed up its Brass Bonanza and headed south to Carolina, where the team became the Hurricanes. While the AHL's Hartford Wolfpack is doing everything in its power to reinvent the Whale, nothing will ever match the original.
