Who Has Been the Patriots' Most Valuable Rookie? Remember a month or two ago, when people in New England were being critical of Bill Belichick's ability to draft?

If Belichick were listening, which we all know full-well he wasn't, he'd surely be laughing now.

Part of the reason the Patriots head into their Thanksgiving matchup with an 8-2 record is the continued strong play of the Patriots' rookie corps.

The tight end duo of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez continues to impress. While many thought the departure of Randy Moss may have hurt the Patriots, it has only helped Gronkowski and Hernandez thrive. Gronkowski already has six touchdowns and continues to be an asset near the goal line while Hernandez is proving to be a versatile threat. He has three touchdowns himself and has a shown an ability to contribute in more ways than most prototypical tight ends.

On the defensive side, rookies have done their part, also.

Many questioned the pick of Devin McCourty when the Pats took him in the first round, but the former Rutgers cornerback continues to show up to work everyday and improve. Linebackers Jermaine Cunningham and Brandon Spikes have also done good jobs of adapting to their roles and they continue to improve with every game.
