Wrigley Field, Yankee Stadium Undergo Gridiron Takeover for College Football Games The New York Yankees and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. It’s a match made in heaven — or something like that.

Two of the most insufferable brands in all of sports will come together on Saturday when Yankee Stadium plays host to Notre Dame when they take on Army.

Notre Dame-Army isn’t the only game of its sort on Saturday. Northwestern will make Wrigley Field its home on Saturday as well when they take on Illinois on the North Side of Chicago.

The Northwestern-Illinois game hasn’t come without its share of “controversy” though. The two schools and the Big 10 came to agreement on Friday that only one end zone would be used for offense following concerns over safety when one of the goalposts was deemed too close to the ivy-covered wall and became a safety risk.
