Binghamton Senators Pay Homage to ‘Seinfeld’ Holiday, Wear Festivus Jerseys

Binghamton Senators Pay Homage to 'Seinfeld' Holiday, Wear Festivus JerseysJerry Seinfeld's character on Seinfeld was more of a baseball guy, as the Mets and Yankees dominated most sports-related plot lines during the legendary sitcom.

Except for David Puddy's artful devotion to his beloved Devils, hockey was virtually a non-topic for Jerry, George, Kramer and Elaine.

But alas, the AHL's Binghamton Senators have paid homage to the show and recently had a Festivus-themed jersey night. Festivus, of course, is the fake holiday Frank Costanza made up, which includes a pole, the "Airing of Grievances" and the "Feats of Strength."

Through a postgame auction, fans were able to purchase game-worn Festivus jerseys from the contest, in which the Sens lost 4-2 to the Charlotte Checkers.

"It's a Festivus miracle!"
