The Reds may be 12 points out of first place in the Premier League, but Dutch forward Dirk Kuyt is convinced that the games in the upcoming month will go their way to close the gap in the standings.

Kuyt says Liverpool's next four matches are must-win situations, but he's confident that Liverpool is up to the task against Blackpool, Wolves, Bolton and Blackburn.

"This period is one of the most important of the season," Kuyt told Liverpoolfc.tv. "If we can produce a good run I'm sure we will be up near the top four."

Not only is Kuyt hoping for a good run from his own team, but he's also expecting some of the Premier League competition to lend to their success.

"I'm sure a lot of the top teams will drop points this month," he said. "If we could get four good results in a row then who knows? Certainly the gap will be closer."

The Reds are hoping to capitalize on the rapid succession of important league games, but it won't be easy. Kuyt, however, is looking forward to the challenge.

"It's hard work with four games in 10 days but that's what you want," he said. "I love to play games and always want to play as many as I can."
