Fan Forum: Was Michael Jordan or Larry Bird the Better All-Around Player? You can’t go wrong building a team around either Michael Jordan or Larry Bird, but which legend was a better all-around player?

Although Jordan’s career was slightly longer than Bird’s, fans on both sides of the argument can go on for days with facts and figures as to who was better and why.

Jordan, the high-flying scoring machine, averaged 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game while the sharp-shooting Bird averaged 24.3 points, 10 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
