Concussions are a problem even in sports like hockey and football, where players wear helmets, so what happens when a basketball player has concussion problems? They wear helmets, naturally.

Indiana University – Purdue Fort Wayne University (IPFW) junior forward John Peckinpaugh has struggled with concussions in the past. So, to avoid further trouble, and to stay on the court, Peckinpaugh dons a helmet when he steps on the hardwood.

The helmet, which can be best described as boxing sparring headgear, surely gets Peckinpaugh plenty of harassment from student sections across the country. That's probably nothing new, though, for someone playing for IPFW.
