Jason Varitek Scheduled to Appear on ‘The Today Show’ to Hand Out Toys to Children During Annual Toy Drive

Jason Varitek plans to share the holiday spirit with Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira and the rest of The Today Show crew on Monday.

The Red Sox captain and his three daughters will serve as representatives for Major League Baseball during The Today Show‘s annual toy drive. Varitek will be on hand to donate toys to over 4,200 children from the Boys and Girls Club of America.

The segment also will feature an interview with Varitek, who will discuss the Red Sox winning the inaugural Commissioner’s Award for Philanthropic Excellence. The entire segment is scheduled to air around 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
