NBA Christmas tradition holds that teams participating show a little holiday cheer with their uniforms, replacing a normal team color with either red or green.

The Knicks wore green jerseys, and they were joined by their opponents, Chicago, in sporting red holiday kicks as well. Almost every team found a way to be involved.

Then, there were the Lakers.

Kobe Bryant and company managed to interpret Christmas green as being of the neon variety of a green-yellow highlighter, wearing shoes even more outlandish looking than the infamous Seattle Seahawks lime jerseys.

The modified Nike Zoom Kobe VI didn’t exactly help out Black Mamba, as he went 6-16 with four turnovers, while earning the title of “neon grinch” for the shoes and performance.

LeBron James‘ shoes weren’t exactly works of art either, but at least they were actually Christmas colored. He was rewarded, finishing with a triple-double and a huge win.
