Liverpool Live Blog: Match at Bloomfield Road Postponed Due to Frozen Pitch 7 a.m.: Liverpool supporters officially went into panic mode on Oct. 3, when Roy Hodgson's side fell 2-1 to recently-promoted Blackpool at Anfield. While the Tangerines' subsequent success has made such a result appear less catastrophic, it will surely be on the minds of the players and fans as Liverpool travel to Bloomfield Road looking to even the score against the upstart Seasiders.

Hodgson's side will be coming in with a major boost, as captain Steven Gerrard will finally be returning from injury — as will first-choice center back Daniel Agger. With matches against Wolves, Bolton and Blackburn looming, Liverpool have an opportunity to vault themselves into European contention in the Premier League table in the coming weeks.

First, though, they will have to get past a Blackpool side that has actually amassed the same point total as Liverpool, 22, in one fewer match.

Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. ET. Lineups will be posted prior to the match.

8 a.m.: The match has been postponed until Jan. 12 due to a frozen pitch at Bloomfield Road.
