Magic Johnson Would Have Had Derek Anderson Cut If He Were Laughing on His Bench During Loss

Magic Johnson is looking to bring football back to Los Angeles in the near future and the legendary basketball player is already turning some heads in the pigskin world.

Johnson, who is teaming up with Tim Leiweke at AEG, told Jimmy Kimmel that he and Leiweke are “gonna come together to bring the NFL back to Los Angeles,” on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night.

Kimmel then asked Johnson about Cardinals quarterback Derek Anderson and LaughGate, which occurred during Monday Night Football in Arizona. Anderson was spotted laughing on the bench despite the Cards losing to the 49ers and the QB was called out during a postgame news conference by a reporter.

Johnson replied by saying he would have had Anderson cut if he were his teammate.
