Patriots-Jets Monday Night Tickets the Most Coveted, Expensive Seats This Season

With sole possession of first place in the AFC East on the line and with the national audience on hand to watch every snap, the Jets-Patriots contest on Monday Night Football couldn't be a bigger game.

Unfortunately for fans, the ticket prices couldn't be bigger, either.

According to FanSnap.com, a ticket agent search engine, tickets range from $350 for nosebleeds in the back of the mezzanine to a ridiculous $3,080 for a pair of front-row, 50-yard line seats.

So far, the most expensive Patriots tickets this season were for the Nov. 21 game against the Colts. The average ticket price for that game was $313, according to StubHub spokesperson Joellen Ferrer. The average price for the upcoming Pats-Jets showdown is $243, but Ferrer believes prices will soar as it gets closer to game day.

"People realize there is demand for this game and they're listing more tickets," Ferrer told the Boston Herald.

"This is a huge game, and it's on pace to be the top-selling Pats home game of the season," she added. "It's the best-selling Boston event by far for the week and fans are scooping up tickets fueled by all the media hype."

Not surprisingly, Patriots-Jets tickets are 124 percent higher than last Monday night's San Francisco 49ers-Arizona Cardinals matchup, according to Ben Kessler of SeatGeek.com.

Ace Ticket president James Holzman believes that the prices for the game are reasonable because so much is on the line.

"I know that $200 is a lot of money," Holzman said. "But it's still reasonable for a game of this stature."
