On Thursday, the Patriots were missing four defensive linemen from practice, so clearly they could use a little help.

They'll be trying to get it from Louis Leonard, whom the Patriots signed on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder could see action rather quickly, much like Eric Moore did last week in Chicago.

Leonard has played in 20 NFL games, recording 33 tackles and one sack. He played in just two games for Carolina this season before his release on Sept. 28.
