Providence Advances in Mini 1-on-1 Competition With 2-1 Victory Over Hingham

Jake Higgins scored a late goal for Hingham (Mass.) in the Mini 1-on-1 Mite bracket, but it wasn't enough to overcome the lead established by Providence (R.I.).

Matthew Pimental scored twice for Providence, pulling the same quick forehand move to sneak past Hingham netminder Cameron Tedeschi on two separate attacks.

Providence goaltender Jacob Andreozzi came away with two clutch saves to keep Providence ahead for the victory.

The Providence team advances to the next round, where it will take on the winner of the Barnstable (Mass) and Top Gun (N.H.) competition on Jan. 6.
