First, Nolan Ryan and his Texas Rangers missed out on signing Cliff Lee when the highly coveted lefty bolted for Philadelphia. Then, the Rangerrs lost out on the Zack Greinke chase when he was traded to Milwaukee. Now, it seems they're settling for Brandon Webb.

AZCentral.com reported that Webb has agreed to what appears to be a one-year, incentive-laden contract with the 2010 American League champions.

Webb won the 2006 NL Cy Young award, before finishing second in the following years. Since then, though, Webb has battled injuries. He pitched a grand total of four innings in 2009, and he missed all of the 2010 season while battling shoulder injuries.
