Report: Brett Favre Out for Second Consecutive Week, Joe Webb to Start Sunday for Vikings

Brett Favre will double his current streak of consecutive games missed from one to two on Sunday, as the same shoulder sprain that kept him out against the Giants at Ford Field on Monday Night will rule him out of the action on Monday Night Football this week as well.

According to ESPN, Vikings coach Leslie Frazier has ruled out Favre, who now has just two remaining NFL games left to play — assuming that he doesn't receive a suspension from Roger Goodell regarding the Jenn Sterger scandal or un-retire in the summer of 2011.

In his place, rookie Joe Webb, the Vikings' 2010 sixth-round pick out of UAB, will get the start. Usual backup Tarvaris Jackson was recently placed on season-ending injured reserve with turf toe.
