The NFL has reportedly made its disciplinary decision regarding Jets strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi's blatant trip of Dolphins rookie Nolan Carroll during their game on Sunday.
According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Alosi has been suspended for the remainder of the 2010-11 season, including any postseason games played by the New York Jets. Alosi has also received a fine of $25,000 for his sideline act.
FoxSports writer Jay Glazer also tweeted about the suspension, reporting that Alosi will not receive pay for the rest of the season.
Earlier on Monday, Alosi issued a public apology for his actions, owning up to the fact that he did indeed trip Carroll. He took full responsibility for the incident and said he would accept the full disciplinary actions issued by the NFL.
