Report: Yankees Going After Carl Crawford

The Yankees have their outfield set, right?

Well, maybe not, as they're reportedly in the hunt for free-agent outfielder Carl Crawford.

According to ESPN.com's Buster Olney, "the Yankees are very much engaged in conversations" with Crawford. Olney adds that it's unknown at this point if the Yankees will be able to afford both Cliff Lee and Crawford.

With Curtis Granderson, Brett Gardner and Nick Swisher in the outfield, the Yankees weren't necessarily guaranteed to make runs for Crawford or Jayson Werth, as their priority was believed to be Lee.

Crawford reportedly met with Theo Epstein and Terry Francona earlier this week.
