It's been a busy couple of days for Royals ace Zack Greinke, and if he has his way, he won't be in Kansas City when the season starts.

According to a FoxSports.com report, the Royals right-hander has asked the team for a trade. This comes on the heels of Greinke firing his agent on Friday.

There have been rumors all throughout the offseason that the 2009 AL Cy Young winner was being shopped, but this is the first real report that Greinke had asked to be moved.

There is a catch, however. Greinke has a limited no-trade clause that would allow him to decline a trade to 15 different teams. The Yankees, Twins, Brewers and Blue Jays are all on that list — and they're rumored suitors for the Royals.

Perhaps, this would make the Texas Rangers the early favorites. The Rangers, who are still scrambling to come up with something after missing out on Cliff Lee, are reportedly not on Greinke's list.
