When it comes to securing NBA contracts, the Boston Celtics are in good hands.
A recent study by Business Insider ranked the top 12 most powerful agents in the NBA, and 10 players on the Celtics' roster receive representation from the top-10 agents on the list.
Two of the Celtics' big men are represented by the most powerful agent on the list, Arn Tellem. A well-known agent in both the baseball and basketball worlds, Tellem helped both Kendrick Perkins ($4.39 million) and Jermaine O'Neal ($5.77 million) snag their salaries. Tellem's highest-paid NBA client is Lakers' forward Pau Gasol ($17.82 million).
Delonte West and Von Wafer put their contract negotiations in the hands of Dan Fegan. Business Insider's No. 2-ranked agent helped Wafer pull in $916,000, and secured West $1.57 million this year.
Paul Pierce is Jeff Schwartz's top client, as The Truth is on contract to earn $13.88 million this season. Schwartz's long list of clients also includes Tyson Chandler and Lamar Odom.
The fifth-most powerful agent, Bill Duffy, represents Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, among others. Duffy helped Rondo negotiate his $9 million price tag this season.
Kevin Garnett is the highest-earning client for Andy Miller, as the Celtics' forward will pull in $18.8 million for the C's this season.
Rounding out the Big Three is Ray Allen, whose agent Jim Tanner ranks 10th on the list. Allen is wedged between Tim Duncan and Hedo Turkoglu as Tanner's top clients. Allen will earn $10 million with the Celtics this year.
