Tuukka Rask Maintains Positive Outlook During Tough Times in Net

If Bruins fans were asked at the end of the 2009-10 season which goaltender they thought would be the starter in the upcoming year, 99 percent of them would have said Tuukka Rask.

In fact, much of the offseason was spent speculating the possible trade of the current No. 1 netminder, Tim Thomas. The roles have been reversed, however, and with a 2-7-1 record, Rask is still trying to find his stride with the Bruins.

Bruins announcer Andy Brickley is not worried about Rask, though, and says his numbers are looking good considering his tough-luck record. His maturity, according to Brickley, is even more astounding.

"This is a guy who went through a very harsh learning experience during the playoffs last year," Brickley said of Rask. "He came into camp with the total expectation to be the number one goaltender. It hasn't happened, but you haven't heard from him in terms of negativity. I really like his maturity."
