Vote: If Red Sox, Phillies Meet in 2011 World Series, Which Team Would Have the Advantage? There's no better time than now to assume the outcome of a season that is four months away from even starting.

That being said, let's fast-forward to the 2011 World Series and unjinxinngly assume that the Red Sox, with their solid staff, redesigned bullpen and explosive lineup, dethroned the Rangers and earned their third American League title in eight years.

Heading to Fenway Park on a collision course of one of the most anticipated World Series tilts ever are the Phillies, whose lockdown rotation cruised all year long and led the City of Brotherly Love's ballclub back to the main stage in search of a third championship.

It's the league's top rotation, consisting of Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Cole Hamels, Roy Oswalt and Joe Blanton (or Kyle Kendrick, depending on the latest rumor of a Blanton deal in place), taking on the league's top lineup, filled with such All-Stars as Dustin Pedroia, Carl Crawford, Kevin Youkilis and Adrian Gonzalez.

Not only would this replay of the 1915 World Series be a ratings dream for Bud Selig, it would be a titanic clash of big-market power pitching against big-market power offense — two franchises that went the extra mile this offseason to bring their clubs to the main stage. But which team would have the edge?
