LeGarrette Blount
Originally known for punching a Boise State player in the face, Blount has done his best to be known as a pretty darn good NFL running back. He is closing in on a 1,000-yard season, as he's averaged 5.2 yards on his 182 carries for the Bucs this season. He's topped 100 yards rushing four times this season, and he reached a new high on Sunday with 164 yards on 18 carries (9.1 average).
If Blount can rush for 59 yards next week, he'll reach 1,000 for the year, and it may get the Bucs into the playoffs.
Sam Bradford
The No. 1 overall pick has performed about as well as a rookie quarterback can. He's taken every snap for the Rams this season, leading them to a potential playoff berth. He's completed 60.5 percent of his passes for 3,357 yards, 18 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He also set a rookie mark for completions, and he still has a game left on his schedule.
Rob Gronkowski
A relative unknown (thanks to a back injury that prevented him from playing his 2009 college season at Arizona) coming into the season, Gronkowski has become as reliable a tight end target as Tom Brady has ever had. The 6-foot-6, 265-pound target hauled in two touchdowns on Sunday, bringing his season total to nine. On the season, he has a modest 36 catches for 444 yards, but just as impressive has been his job as a blocker for BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead.
Aaron Hernandez
The other rookie tight end for the Pats has been a little flashier than Gronkowski as a receiver. He's shown he doesn't need Tim Tebow to succeed (Brady helps, of course), as he's hauled in 45 passes for 563 yards and six touchdowns.
Tony Moeaki
Matt Cassel's Chiefs are heading to the playoffs, and Moeaki is a major reason why. Though he has just three touchdowns, he's been a favorite target of Cassel with 46 catches for 539 yards.
Mike Williams
The explosive wideout out of Syracuse has 61 catches for 924 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. He scored two touchdowns on Sunday in a 38-15 blowout of the Seahawks.
Maurkice Pouncey
If you're looking for stats, you won't get them from Pouncey, but that doesn't mean he's not worthy. The Steelers' center has excelled from the get-go, serving as the anchor of an O-line devastated by injuries.
