Which Bruins Legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Served as the Tampa Bay Lightning's First General Manager? It took the Tampa Bay Lightning 10 long years to finally make a splash in the NHL.

From 1992 (the expansion team's first year in the league) to 2003, the franchise had just one winning season — a 38-32-12 record during the 1995-96 campaign, which ended following a six-game conference quarterfinals loss to the Flyers in the team's first-ever playoff appearance.

It was Terry Crisp, Rick Patterson, Jacques Demers and Steve Ludzik who were manning the Lightning bench during their first decade of existence, but who was the man behind the big desk in the front office during the club's first six-plus years?

Much like current GM Steve Yzerman and his legendary status in the city of Detroit and in the hockey world, the Lightning's first ever GM is a legend in Boston and a Hockey Hall of Famer.
