FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots rookie linebacker Brandon Spikes returned to practice Wednesday after serving his four-week suspension, and right guard Dan Connolly got back on the field after missing two weeks with a concussion.

Connolly, center Dan Koppen and running back Danny Woodhead were all wearing red non-contact jerseys, and it's the first time a non-quarterback has worn one since safety Patrick Chung sported one in minicamp.

Tight end Aaron Hernandez, defensive lineman Mike Wright, defensive lineman Eric Moore and linebacker Jermaine Cunningham were all missing from practice, which was held outside in full pads.
