After he spent seven seasons with the Boston Bruins, defenseman Glen Wesley was shipped to Hartford in exchange for three first-round draft picks from the Whalers' organization.
Monday's The Four's Question of the Day asked which players were drafted by the Bruins in the three years following Wesley's departure from Boston.
The Bruins first selected defenseman Kyle McLaren in the 1995 draft. McLaren spent seven seasons on the Boston blue line before he signed with the San Jose Sharks in 2002.
They used the 1996 first-round pick to select Johnathan Aitken, a forward who played two seasons in Providence and three games in Boston before going to play in the Czech Republic.
Their final pick from the Wesley trade was used to select forward Sergei Samsonov. The left wing played eight successful seasons in Boston before signing with Edmonton in 2005. Samsonov now plays with the Carolina Hurricanes.
