Chad Ochocinco Responds After Marvin Lewis Jokes Bill Belichick Is Too Smart to Sign Receiver It’s far too early to tell whether or not Chad Ochocinco will soon be catching footballs from Tom Brady, but that doesn’t mean no one is talking about it.

In an interview with the Boston Herald’s Ian Rapoport, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis was asked his thoughts on a recent tweet from the Bengals wide receiver several weeks ago, suggesting Ochocinco would be interested in playing in New England.

Ochocinco’s tweet , “PePe and Bill #EPIC,” made some waves across the league and even led Bill Belichick himself to say, “I like Chad — I like him as a player. I like him as a person. […] I like his enthusiasm and the fun he has with football, and I like how he competes on the football field. I have a lot of respect for that.”

It’s Lewis’ response that’s making waves now.

“Belechick’s smarter than that,” the Bengals coach told Rapoport with a laugh.

In response to hearing the story, Ochocinco responded via Twitter by re-tweeting Rapoport’s message, adding “##AssWhoopnTime.”

Rapoport has since tweeted, “Since the first @ochocinco Tweet, I think fans of at least 15 teams have told him they’d want him on their team. #MadChad getting madlove.”

This one could be just getting started.
