Daniel Agger‘s pleas for regular first-team football or an Anfield exit have continued Wednesday.

The Danish center back reiterated that he would have no reason to play at Liverpool without being a fixture in the lineup, according to ESPN.co.uk.

“I still have three years on my contract but it’s not me who decides if I’m playing,” he said, according to ESPN.co.uk. “But if I’m not playing and I’m not injured, I have no reason to be here. I’m 26 and I feel I can play regularly at this level at this club. So if I’m not going to play and be on the bench for a while, obviously I’m not interested in being here. Then I must see what options I have.”

Those options had previously been rumored to be Wolfsburg and Juventus, but Agger is now being linked to some of Liverpool’s biggest rivals:Tottenham and Arsenal.

While neither club has been strongly linked to Agger, rumors about both have been swirling. According to Metro, Spurs have been put on “high alert” about the Agger situation. Likewise, Caught Offside is reporting that Arsene Wenger is planning to inquire about Agger as well.

Agger has previously been linked to both clubs and has long been said to be clashing with Roy Hodgson over Liverpool’s new style of football.

Losing a player who many consider to be Liverpool’s best center back would be a considerable blow to Liverpool, but it would be that much worse if he ended up filling a weak spot for a team that is currently keeping the Reds on the outside looking in — as far as European qualification is concerned.
