Kevin Garnett appears to be ahead of schedule.
The Big Ticket returned to Celtics practice Wednesday, spending about 15 minutes shooting elbow jumpers and exercising in the team's Waltham facility, according to The Boston Globe.
The return comes just one week after Garnett suffered a right calf strain against the Pistons in Detroit. Garnett, who was expected to miss at least two weeks after being sidelined on Dec. 29, declined to comment after working out but his quick return is promising.
The Celtics have gone 2-1 during KG’s three-game absence, relying on forward Glen Davis, who has started for the C’s in their injured All-Star’s place. Big Baby has averaged over 13 points and five rebounds per game in that span.
