LeBron James Digs Himself Into Deeper Hole With Contradictory Explanation of Controversial Tweet LeBron James didn’t go to college, and it wouldn’t be surprising to learn that he rarely showed up to high school. The guy’s not all that smart.

So it wasn’t surprising Wednesday night when the NBA superstar was asked to explain his intentions when posting the following tweet while the Cavaliers were getting blown out: “Crazy. Karma is a b****.. Gets you every time. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!”

Most people who are capable of putting two and two together saw this as a shot at Dan Gilbert, the Cavaliers owner who blasted James after his “Decision” to leave Cleveland. LeBron’s explanation, however, tried to deny that. Sort of.

First, he said it was his personal sentiment.

“It was just how I was feeling at the time,” he told reporters before the Heat lost to the Clippers.

Then, in a striking turn of events, in the very next sentence out of his mouth, LeBron said it was someone else’s sentiment.

“It wasn’t even a comment from me, it was someone who sent it to me and I sent it out,” James explained. “It wasn’t towards [the Cavaliers]. It definitely wasn’t a good showing by that team last night, I know they wish they would have played better, but nothing towards them.

“Everyone looks into everything that I say,” he added. “Everybody looked too far into it.”

It’s either that, or everyone just reads at a third-grade level and could interpret the meaning without even looking too far into it. One or the other, LeBron.

“I’ve been called worse. … In fact, [Bill] Belichick has called me that. My offensive coordinator calls me that, and I know they like me, so maybe [Antonio Cromartie] really likes me.”
