The Reds’ pursuit of Luis Suarez could be officially over by the weekend.
That's because Ajax set a deadline of Saturday, Jan. 29, for Liverpool to make one final offer for the 24-year-old Uruguayan forward, reports the Liverpool Echo.
"I do not want to be surprised on the last day of the window," said Ajax manager Frank De Boer. "So we have made that deadline, January 29. This situation has been going on long enough. Liverpool have to come up with a good offer and the money we want by that day."
