With a demanding slate of four games this week, the Bruins can use all the good news on the injury front that they can get. Sunday’s practice came with some of that good news.

Milan Lucic, who’s missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury, skated with the team at practice in Wilmington on Sunday morning. The winger will be reevaluated before Monday’s matinee tilt with the Hurricanes at TD Garden to see if he’ll be able to go in the first of a home-and-home with Carolina.

Likewise, Mark Stuart also skated with the team at practice on Sunday, and he’s hoping to be reevaluated and cleared for a return to game action, as he is almost ready to return from a broken finger.

Andrew Ference skated before practice, but he did not parcipate in the team practice. He’s still working his way back from an undisclosed injury that caused him to miss Thursday’s game against the Flyers, as well as Saturday’s game with the Penguins. According to the team’s Twitter feed, Ference is likely to return on Tuesday for Boston’s game in Carolina.

Defenseman Steven Kampfer, who suffered a broken nose when he took teammate Zdeno Chara‘s stick to the face on Saturday, did practice on Sunday, doing so with a full cage mask. He’s not expected to miss any time and is expected to be ready to go on Monday.

Lastly, Marc Savard participated in practice a day after taking a hit from Pittsburgh’s Deryk Engelland that left the Bruins forward “woozy.” The fact that Savard practiced on Saturday means the B’s have apparently gotten lucky in regards to Savard, who is still working to get back to 100 percent following his battle with post-concussion syndrome.
