Christina Aguilera is back.
The NFL announced on Monday that the pop star singer and actress is set to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl XLV in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday, Feb. 6.
This will be the second time Aguilera has performed at the NFL's championship. The first time, in 2000, she was part of a Disney produced halftime show, which she sang with Phil Collins, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton, Zanith Jarvis, an 80-person choir and a full symphony orchestra. This year's halftime show will showcase The Black Eyed Peas.
According to the Associated Press, the announcement was made on Monday by the NFL and Fox.
With a recent Golden Globe nomination for her movie Burlesque as well as singing the national anthem at one of the country's most-watched events of the year, the recently divorced Aguilera seems to be crawling her way back to the top.
