Jay Glazer said on Fox on Sunday that an unnamed former Patriot joined the Jets' practice squad and alerted his new team of the Patriots' use of the sideline wall on punts. The only player to fit Glazer's description this season would be Shawn Crable, who was cut by the Patriots on Nov. 16 and signed with the Jets' practice squad three days later. However, Glazer didn't specify that the player switched teams this season, so the list of possibilities is not limited to Crable.
Fox showed a video of the wall, which wasn't as tight or organized as the one that got Sal Alosi and the Jets into trouble this season. Check the video by clicking here to see for yourself.
While Glazer says the video shows a Patriots player lean onto the field to try to trip the Jets' gunner, that's an accusation that could be disputed, given the grainy quality of the footage.
Jets special teams coordinator Mike Westhoff, of course, put himself under fire when he said in a radio intrerview that the Patriots created walls along their sidelines. This video would appear to be Westhoff's proof.
