The 2010 NL MVP isn't leaving Cincinnati anytime soon.
According to MLB.com's Mark Sheldon, Reds first baseman Joey Votto has agreed to a three-year, $38 million contract extension with the Reds. The deal is pending a physical which is reportedly Monday.
Votto ascended into the upper echelon of baseball with a standout 2010 campaign. The 27-year-old hit .324 with 37 home runs and 113 RBIs in 2010. He beat out Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols for the 2010 NL MVP.
