Don Banks reported that while it's unknown at the moment if Fisher will be fired, if he'll resign or if there will be a mutual agreement to part ways, it is known that a separation is imminent.
"League sources say Fisher was not happy to lose a pair of his longtime defensive coaches [Chuck Cecil and Jim Washburn] last week," reported Banks.
A separation between Fisher and the Titans would end the longest coaching tenure in the NFL, as Fisher joined the team in 1994. Andy Reid, who started with the Eagles in 1999, would claim that title, with Bill Belichick (2000, Patriots) right behind.
After finishing 13-3 in 2008, the Titans have gone 14-18, missing out on the playoffs the last two seasons. Fisher's regular-season record is 126-110, with a 5-6 record in the playoffs.
