Sean Avery's Posh Chelsea Condo Turns Heads, But Costs Rangers Winger $60,000 to Unload (Photos) Sean Avery hasn’t made many friends around the NHL, so most hockey players and fans will be happy to hear that the Rangers’ pesky forward recently lost $60,000 by selling his New York City crib.

Avery recently sold his Chelsea condo to a Morgan Stanley Smith Barney consultant for $1.4 million. Avery, who once interned at Vogue, first put in on the market for $1.795 million, after originally purchasing the pad for $1.46 million.

The Modlin Group, which sold the space, described the abode by having “top of the line, unique modern finishes. Superior design by Andres Escobar and Karl Fischer architects give the Chelsea Club an urban chic feel. Kitchen includes white marble counter tops, Gaggeneu appliances and modern finishes. Bathroom is top of the line spa like luxury. The beautiful view from the large balcony overlooks the prime Chelsea neighborhood, which is steps away from The High Line, Chelsea Market, Hudson River and the Meatpacking District.”
