Were burglars looking for a Super Bowl ring while ransacking through NFL Hall of Famer and legendary Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly's house?

While they wouldn’t be able to find that even if they had magical powers, burglars did steal Kelly’s 2002 NFL Hall of Fame ring and his "Ring of Honor" from the University of Miami. The Buffalo News reports, though, that the 2009 burglary items were later recovered by police in the briefcase that the men stole from Kelly's car, which was parked in the driveway of his Buffalo home.

Two men, Kevin S. Sapp and Eric Schmidt, were charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property from Kelly's home. Both men have a history of attempted burglary, grand larceny, liens and multiple other felonies.
