Tim Thomas Living Out Career Dream Playing in Third NHL All Star Game

Five years ago, playing in the NHL All Star Game was a pipe dream for Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas. He is now playing in his third this weekend in Raleigh, N.C.

NESN Daily caught up with all three All Star representatives from the Bruins on Friday, getting a firsthand look at the first-ever Fantasy Draft, where Zdeno Chara was taken in the fourth round by Eric Staal's team, and Thomas was taken by Nicklas Lidstrom's team.

Thomas, an 11th-round NHL draft pick in 1994, said playing in the NHL All Star Game is like a dream come true.

"I'm just excited to be at another All Star Game, you know, at any All Star Game," Thomas said during the Fan Festival in Raleigh. "Five years ago, it was a pipe dream that I'd ever be in one, so now to have the opportunity to be in my third, it's great."
