When Marshawn Lynch single-handedly massacred the New Orleans Saints defense in the NFC Wild Card Round last Saturday, many asked, “Was that the greatest play in playoff history?”
As amazing as it was, the better part of a century of NFL history has provided us with a multitude of playoff moments even as or more spectacular than Marshawn’s “Beast Mode” moment.
There were so many, in fact, that some truly great ones didn’t make the cut.
These honorable mentions include the “Tuck Rule” play, Adam Vinatieri’s many game winners, Buffalo’s 32-point comeback, and John Elway‘s iconic “The Drive.”
If those didn’t make it, then the ones that did must have been pretty amazing.
