The UMass Minutemen have an opportunity to gain some ground over the Northeastern Huskies this weekend, as they kick off a home-and-home series at Matthews Arena tomorrow in Boston.

The Minutemen sit just three points behind the Huskies in the Hockey East standings, and they're currently riding a successful streak, winning three of their last four games, including a 6-0 rout of Vermont on Jan. 22.

On the opposite side of the matchup, however, Northeastern has won the last three matchups against UMass, including four of the last five battles. This will be the second matchup between the two teams in the past month, as the Huskies came away with the 5-3 victory on Jan. 7.

Though they rallied for six goals in their last matchup, UMass will have a tough test against Huskies netminder, Chris Rawlings. The sophomore is undefeated in his last three outings, and posted back-to-back shutouts against Harvard and Vermont. Rawlings also has past success against the Minutemen, earning the win in the past three matchups between the two teams, while posting a 2.00 goals against with a .941 save percentage.

NESN will bring the entire Hockey East event live from Matthews Arena, starting with the Hockey East pregame show at 7 p.m. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
