Come Sunday, however, the focus will shift back to the field, where a dominant Patriots team will be looking to reprise its relatively recent 45-3 victory over Rex Ryan, Mark Sanchez and the New York Jets.
Those Jets, though, are just one of two teams to have defeated the Patriots — a Week 2 victory in what was the final act in the Randy Moss era in New England.
So what kind of outcome do you expect to see come Sunday?
Will the Patriots again blow Sanchez and company out of the water?
Will they win a tight, defensive matchup that many expect of January football? or an epic shootout?
Could the Jets squeak out a victory like they did against Peyton Manning and the Colts — shortening the game and forcing Tom Brady to hand the ball off?
Or, could New York back up all of its talk and get revenge on the Patriots with a blowout victory of their own?
The long-awaited answers are less than 24 hours away.
